Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

General requirements

The requirements for articles submitted for publication are as follows:

1. The written material must have relevance to the field of Industrial Engineering.

2. Manuscripts in the JIE Journal have never been published in any mass media and are not being sent to other periodicals.

Article material can be

Research results, both empirical and documentary studies / library research.

Manuscript Writing

1.The manuscript is written in English or Indonesian, taking into account the Indonesian rules of Enhanced Spelling (EYD).

2. The manuscript is accompanied by abstracts of Indonesian and English which are not more than 250 words and are accompanied by keywords.

3. The number of pages of manuscripts is between 20 - 30 pages (double-spaced) fonts of 12 characters using the Microsoft Word program.

4. Articles (research results) include: Title, Author's Name, Abstract, Keywords, introduction (includes: background of the problem and a little literature review, and problem / research objective) Methods, results, discussion, Conclusions and suggestions, Reference List ( contains library referred to in the description only).

5. Articles (equivalent to the results of research) include: Title, Author's Name, Abstract, Keywords, introduction, subheadings (as needed) Closing (conclusions and suggestions) Reference List (contains references referred to in the description only).

6. Writing references / bibliography.

In the article, only the family name, reference year (the same is written in brackets) if there are several references for the same statement, names and year written with a mark; (semicolon) behind it.

Example:

A (1997a). Book name, City: Publisher.
A (1997b. City book name: Publisher.

7. Footnotes are only to show the author's identity (on the first page) or additional information (if necessary) that cannot be included in the bibliography.
