Peer Review Process
-
Manuscript Submission:
- Authors submit their manuscripts through the online journal management system.
- Manuscripts must adhere to the submission guidelines established by JSAE.
-
Initial Screening:
- The Editor-in-Chief (EIC) or Associate Editor conducts an initial screening to ensure the manuscript aligns with the scope and focus of the journal.
- Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be rejected at this stage.
-
Plagiarism Check:
- Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are checked for originality using plagiarism detection software.
-
Reviewer Assignment:
- The EIC or Associate Editor assigns 2-3 reviewers who are experts in the relevant field to review the manuscript.
- Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and must have no conflicts of interest with the authors.
-
Review Process:
- Reviewers provide detailed feedback on the manuscript, including strengths, weaknesses, and suggestions for improvement.
- The review process is double-blind, meaning that the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential.
-
Editorial Decision:
- Based on the reviewers' reports, the EIC or Associate Editor makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept without revisions
- Accept with minor revisions
- Accept with major revisions
- Reject
- This decision, along with the reviewers' feedback, is communicated to the authors.
- Based on the reviewers' reports, the EIC or Associate Editor makes one of the following decisions:
-
Author Revisions:
- Authors revise their manuscript according to the reviewers' suggestions and upload the revised manuscript through the journal management system.
- Authors must provide a written response to each point raised by the reviewers.
-
Re-Review:
- The revised manuscript is re-evaluated by the same reviewers (if necessary) or by the editor to ensure all suggestions have been adequately addressed.
-
Final Decision:
- The EIC or Associate Editor makes the final decision based on the revised manuscript.
- Accepted manuscripts proceed to the publication process.
-
Publication:
- Accepted manuscripts undergo final editing, including grammar checks, formatting, and reference verification.
- The finalized manuscript is then published in the upcoming issue of the journal.
